Ashok Dinda was born on 25-03-1984 in Moyna, Purba Medinipur in the state of West Bengal, India. He is a former Indian Cricket Player who retired on 02-02-2021 from cricket.

Ashok Dinda Complete Bio & Career

Ashok Dinda was first noticed by Atal Dev Burman, a coach, after bowling in the nets a few overs. Dinda, who said he could not really expect to stay back, was accepted by the coach and soon got a fairly basic contract with the Kalighat club and a short stint with the Australian Sports Institute. In 2005, he made his debut for Bengal in the first-class cricket and pleasantly surprised many with his significant pace, which usually results from an unfounded jump into his progress.
 
He made his debut in the T-20 (international) against Sri Lanka on 9 Dec 2009, he played his first international T20 for India in Nagpur. He ended up taking Sanath Jayasuriya's wicket. In this match, he bowled 3 overs and took 1wicket at 34 runs. And Tillakaratne Dilshan took his wicket when he was playing at 19 runs in 20 bowls. He made his ODI debut against the team Zimbabwe on June 2010, Dinda. In 7 over he did not get a single wicket and gave 49 runs. He was selected in Sri Lanka for the 2010 Asian Cup squad. However, in the tournament he played just one game, a group- stage game even against Sri Lanka, where he finished with stats of 0/39 in five overs.
 
After brilliant performances in the 2011–12 Ranji Trophy, Dinda was chosen for the 2012 Asia Cup in the 15-man Indian team. Dinda hugely impressed the BCCI with his overall performance in the ODI series against Sri Lanka. Despite in the only T20 match against Sri Lanka, he took 4 wickets at 19 runs was a magical spell in August this year. His success shows obviously his good cricket signs and his strength to stay in the team of India 11 man squad.
 
In 2011, for the 4th season of IPL, he was bought by Delhi team. In the previous season he was the member of the IPL team Kolkata  The following year he was bought for the fifth edition by Pune. He had an average homecoming in 2012, but later than scheduled this year he was part of India's Twenty20 squad for the World T20 in Sri Lanka. Since then, Ashok Dinda has not had a very good domestic show, but Bangalore has selected up the 2014 player auction process. After his retirement in 2019, he has turned cricket commentator.
 
He retired on 02-02-2021 from all forms of cricket.
