Boman Irani Complete Bio & Career

The acting was Irani’s passion during school and college days. He took his acting lessons under acting coach Hansraj Siddhia in the early 1980s and embraced professional acting techniques. Irani favored British theatre, and he soon learned different accents. Irani started off by featuring in advertisements such as  Ceat, Fanta, and Krackjack biscuits.
 
Boman Irani began his acting career in films from early 2000, after spending many years in theatre. He made his Bollywood debut with the film titled Everybody Says I’m Fine! His minor but remarkable role in Darna Mana Hai fetched him praise. Through 2003 release Munna Bhai M.B.B.S., Irani became famous. His role as J. Asthana garnered him a Filmfare Award nomination for Best Comedian. Irani’s best comedy films include Lage Raho Munna Bhai, Main Hoon Na, Khosla Ka Ghosla, Dostana, No Entry, Waqt: The Race Against Time, Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu, Housefull, Housefull 2, Housefull 3 and Cocktail to name a few. The films where he has played supporting roles are Maine Gandhi Ko Nahin Mara, Veer-Zaara, Honeymoon Travels Pvt. Ltd., Lakshya, Page 3, Sorry Bhai!, and My Wife's Murder among others and seen playing negative roles in movies like Eklavya, Don: The Chase Begins Again, Don 2: The King Is Back.
