Burt Reynolds Complete Bio & Career
Burt Reynolds never saw acting as a career as he wanted to be a professional football player but during the first match in his sophomore year, he was badly injured. He met with a car accident later that year which had a great impact on the earlier injury. He then opted to become a police officer.
Alongside, he started working with a drama company. Later he got a role in Tea and Sympathy which was staged at Neighbourhood Playhouse in the New York City. He received great applause and moved towards television shows. His debut was in M squad in 1959. His good performance as a TV actor was recognized and he did his first movie Angel Baby in 1961.
He has also given his voice in two video games, namely, GTA: Vice City and Saints Row: The Third. He has written his own biography with the name But Enough About Me in 2014.
He has won several awards including Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor (Male) for his role in Boogie Nights in 1998. For this movie, he won 10 awards and was nominated for another five. He did another successful movie was Evening Shade for which he won 5 awards in 1991-93.
