Born on 29 May 1984, Carmelo Kyam Anthony is a basketball player from America. He completed his studies at Towson catholic high school. He was regarded as the top player in his school. He scored 14 points in his sophomore season. He decided to improve his grades in order to secure admission to Syracuse University. His head coach at the academy was Steve Smith. Owing to his efforts, the AAU Baltimore team went to the finals. He showcased his playing skills at the basketball youth Development festival held in the U.S.A. He became friends with LeBron James during the tournament.
 
He made his way to the Jordan brand classic scoring 27 points. He played from 2002 to 2003 at Syracuse University. He was awarded the most outstanding player award in the NCAA tournament. His coach, Jim Boeheim considered him the best player. He became eligible for the NBA draft. He was selected by Denver Nuggets. On 29 October 2003, he made his debut. He scored 33 points in the game against Memphis Grizzlies. NBA suspended him from 15 games. He won the game on 27 March against Dallas Mavericks. He played 11 seasons with Denver Nuggets and bagged the most honors.
 
Then he collaborated with New York Chicks on 22 February 2011. He won the first game against Milwaukee Bucks. Hike Woodson was his coach. He set a high record against the Orlando Magic. He had a victory against the Cleveland Cavaliers on 30 January 2014. He also bagged the title of the eastern conference player of the Week. He played seven seasons with kicks. In 2017, he moved to Oklahoma city thunder. He struck a deal with Houston Rockets for $ 2.4 Million on 13 August 2018. In 2019, Portland Trail Blazers signed him for one year.
 
He announced his retirement on 22-05-2023 from the National Basketball Association (NBA).
