Chinmayi Complete Bio & Career

Chinmayi's mother, T. Padmhasini, a singer and musicologist, raised her and she taught Carnatic music and Hindustani classical music to Chinmayi. She relocated to Chennai in her early days. At the age of 10, she enrolled in the Children's Garden school. Later she studied at Hindu Senior Secondary School (Indira Nagar) where she used to complete her studies through home-study modules.
 
She won the (CCRT) Scholarship for Carnatic Music from the Indian Govt when she was merely 10 years old. In 2000 she won the Gold Medal for Ghazals from (ALL India Radio) and despite the fact that she won the Silver in 2002 for Hindustani Classical Music. She professionally learned the German Language from Chennai "Max Mueller Bhavan." Her journey as a playback singer began when she gave her performance for the film Kannathil Muthamittal from Rehman's song "Oru Dheivam Thanta Poove." Despite that, she sang Telugu, Tamil, as well as Malayalam songs over the years. After that, she moved to the Bollywood film industry, and she made her debut in Hindi films from the film Mangal Pandey: The Rising in which she sang her first debut Bollywood song "Holi Re".But she gained recognition from the songs "Mayya" and "Tere Bina" from the movie Guru.
 
She made her debut as a dubbing artist from the Tamil language film Sillunu Oru Kadhal-2006 in which dubbed the voice for Bhumika Chawla. Since then she became the voice-over for many South Indian actresses such as Sameera Reddy, Tamannaah Bhatia,   Trisha Krishnan, and Samantha Ruth Prabhu. Apart from singing and dubbing work she also worked as a Tv presenter for the Airtel Super Singer first season aired on Star Vijay on Apr 2006. And she also had also hosted the first season of Airtel Super Singer (Junior) in Feb 2007. She hosted the breakfast show on FM 91.9 in Chennai as an RJ for Aahaa Kaapi Klub. In 2005, she founded the company "Blue Elephant" (A translation service company). This company provides language services to many prestigious clients such as Ford, Dell,  Reliance India, and Ashok Leyland. In 2010, she was awarded the Women Entrepreneurship for Excellence from “SAARC Chamber”.
