David Morrissey is a well-known English actor, producer, screenwriter, and director. He is considered as one of the most versatile English actors his generation.
 
His acting debut happened with the popular Yorkshire Television and Channel 4 television series One Summer in the year 1983. Later, he attended RADA and was associated with the Royal Shakespeare Company and the National Theatre for about four years. He is dedication towards acting is exemplifying and he is known to make a lot of preparations and research for the roles he plays. His directorial ventures of short films and television dramas include A Secret Audience, Sweet Revenge, Passer By and Don’t Worry About Me.
 
In his career spanning over 30 years, he has acted in numerous films and television series. Some of the most recognized performances of David Morrissey include TheKnock, Some Voices, Our Mutual Friend, HoldingOn, StateOfPlay, The Deal, Robin Hood, Waterland, Sense and Sensibility, Blackpool, Thorne, Some Voices, SpyHole,  Is Anybody there?, Basic Instinct 2, The Reaping and many others. For his role in ‘The Deal’, he won the Best Male Actor Award from the Royal Television Society. In his stage career, he has performed in Peer Gynt, Three Days of Rain, Hangmen, In A DarkHouse and others.  He is best known for his roles in the recent television series like The Walking Dead, The Field of Blood, The Driver, The Missing, Extant and Britannia.
