Gusttavo Lima’s actual name is Nivaldo Batista. He is renowned in Brazil for his hit songs like "Cor de Ouro" and "Cor de Ouro". He became famous globally with his song "Balada". He is compared with legendary sertanejo singers such as Michel Teló and Luan Santana. 
 
His stint with music started at the young age of 9 when he joined a choir as a soloist. He released his debut album titled Gusttavo Lima in 2009. The album had 24 songs in it. One song from this album which needs a special mention is "Rosas, Versos e Vinhos". The following year in 2010, he was contracted by Som Livre label and released an album titled Inventor dos Amores. The album was successful and around 15,000 units were sold in Brazil. He then recorded a live album titled Gusttavo Lima e você in 2011 at a musical event with an approximate audience of 600,000. The album became a huge hit and was certified as platinum. This album’s song “Balada” earned him international recognition and it reached number 3 in Brazilian Billboard Brasil Charts. This song became football anthem not just in Brazil but in Europe as well. Brazilian star footballer Neymar played a huge role in the success of his album as he accompanied Gusttavo at various events to promote his album.
