Hans Raj Hans Complete Bio & Career

Hans Raj Hans hailed from a very humble family and had no singing background. Yet he decided to take up singing from a very early age. He was motivated to take up singing after one such a day a street singer entered his house and started singing. He took his music lessons from Ustad Puran Shahkoti Sahib who was a Sufi singer.
 
It was his music guru who suffixed Hans after his name as a token of appreciation for his singing like a Hans (Swan). After receiving formal training in music, he was trained under the music guru named Charanjit Ahuja and began his career by singing Punjabi folk songs. He sang numerous Sufi and devotional songs in the initial part of his career.
 
His trademark style was his curly hair. He has given various blockbuster albums such as Jhanjhar and Chorni. Among famous Bollywood songs that he sang, his song such as Khaali Dil Nahin Jaan Bhi Hai, Dil Tote Tote, Punjabiyaan Di Shaan and Aaja Nachle needs a special mention. He has also performed in numerous concerts all across the globe.
 
Besides singing, he made his foray into politics by joining the regional political party of Punjab called SAD (Shiromani Akali Dal). He fought on their ticket from the Jalandhar constituency in 2009 and became a Lok Sabha MP. In 2016, he joined BJP and contested from North West Delhi seat in the 2019 general elections. He won with a huge margin and became an MP for the second time. He has also been named Spiritual head of a famous Sufi Darbar in Punjab.
