Together the couple had a son named Appu Ravindrana and 4 daughters named Geetha Madhumohan, Sudha Vijaykumar, Radha Gopalakrishnan, and Latha Rajendran. In the later stage of his life, he was in a relationship with actress Jayalalitha.
