Madhu Sudan Complete Bio & Career

Madhu Sudan obtained his bachelor’s degree from the famous IIT Delhi in the year 1987. After which, he obtained his Ph.D. from the famous U.C. Berkeley in the year 1992. From 1992 to 2015, he was employed at various prestigious places like IBM Research, MIT, Fujitsu Chair Professor and at Microsoft Research. Since 2015, he is serving as a Gordon McKay Professor of the subject Computer Science at the famous Harvard John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences. 
 
Over the years for his contributions to information science and mathematics, he has been felicitated with various awards and most notable of them being Nevanlinna Prize award and the Infosys Foundation Prize. He is also a member of the National Academy of Sciences and the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. 
 
His research mostly revolves around the mathematical studies of communication and computation. Being specific about his research, he focuses mainly on mechanisms and concepts of reliability. His main area of research is mathematics which includes profitability theory and algebra. Off late he had made some wonderful research in property testing, mathematical role in the context of communications and communication amid uncertainty among others.
