Mohsin khan belongs to a Muslim family from Gujarat. He completed his primary education at Children's Academy, Mumbai. Then, he attended Mithibai College for his graduate degree in engineering. Along with studies he was very passionate about acting from college days and started working in tv commercials and giving auditions to many directors.
He also used to write scripts for short films. Also made his professional debut as an assistant director with the film ''Koyelaanchal'' starring Vinod Khanna and Suniel Shetty. The film was a big flop. He made his debut as an actor with the UTV Bindass's show '' Love By Chance''. In 2014, he appeared in the serial Nisha Aur Uskke Cousins aired on Star Plus and ''Meri Ashiqui Tumse hi'' on Colors Tv.
He got fame as an actor with the Star plus show '' Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai'' n which he plays the character of Kartik Goenka. This is the most-watched show of star plus. His character is highly admired by the Indian audience and he won many awards for this show.
