Nara Lokesh is a renownedIndian politician and a known businessman.Lokesh was inducted as the Cabinet Minister for IT,  Rural Development and Panchayati Raj in Andhra Pradesh by his father, Nara Chandrababu Naidu, who is the first honourableChief Minister of Andhra Pradesh after state bifurcation and Party Chief of Telugu Desam Party Chief.
 
He had served the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) to develop the Cash Transfer Scheme for their manifesto during the 2009 elections. The TDP proposal was strongly criticized by Congress. He was then formally inducted into the Party in May 2013 and gradually appointed to head the youth wing of TDP. Mr. Lokesh had decided to give more representation to MLAs who were defected from the YSRC to take on Opposition leader Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy in Reddy-dominated Rayala-Seema.
 
He is a successful businessman also. Recently, he made up the headlines that his assets became 23 times the original in a span of just 5 months.
 
He is famous for carrying out various social works from time to time. Right after his election, he signed various files that concerned NREGA workers to include the provision of Rs 5 lakh insurance given in the case of the death or disability of a worker (if he has worked for 50 days) to his family. He is among the Trustees of NTRMemorial Trust inEducation, Healthcare, Disaster Management and Skills Enhancement.
 
He manages the disaster response program of the Trust, which operates during natural calamities thereby ensuring smooth and speedy execution of the various relief measures, which work through a hierarchy of several coordination committees.
 
Moreover, he has also directed the several officials to enhance the solid waste management system in all the 12,900 villages in the State.
 
He is currently designing the Trust’s health care program in a way that it benefit the underprivileged section of the society. He is organizing health camps and blood banks to improve the health of people.
