Nedumudi Venu was an Indian film actor, director, and writer. He started his career in the Malayalam film industry.He was born to P. K. Kesavan Pillai and P.Kunjikkuttiyamma.He completed his graduation from Sanatana Dharma College, Alappuzha. he worked as a journalist in Kalakaumudi and as a teacher in a tutorial institute. He took an interest in arts and music since his academic period.
His first film was Thambu a film directed by G. Aravindan. He had also performed his acting skills in the Bharathan film Aaravam. He wrote scripts for many movies like Kattathe Kilikkoodu, Theertham, Sruthi, Ambada Njane, Oru Katha Oru Nunnakkatha, Savidham, and Angane Oru Avadhikkalathu. A debut film is directed by him named Pooram. He performed acting skills in a few Tamil films like Kamal Haasan's Indian and Vikram's Anniyan. He made his debut in Malayalam Industry with the movie Thampu. He has also acted in several television serials.
In 2007, won the Best Actor award for his role in 'Saira' at the Zimbabwe International Film Festival. He was suffering from liver-related ailments. He passed away in Thiruvananthapuram at the age of 73.
