Patrick Day was born and raised in Free Port, New York. He always dreamt of being a boxer and hence started his career as a boxer from a very young age. He enjoyed a highly decorated amateur career with New York Golden Gloves tournament and 2 national titles under his belt. He turned pro in 2013 and in all fought 22 bouts. He won 17 of them, lost 4 and managed to drew 1.
After turning pro it took him 4 years to win his first major title in WBC Continental Americas Championship in 2017. In 2019, he won International Boxing Federation Intercontinental championship. He was ranked in top 10 by both WBC and IBF in June 2019. In October 2019, in a bout against Olympian Charles Conwell, he suffered brain injuries and finally succumbed to death 4 days later. He was arguably one of the finest boxers that Long Island have produced over the years. After his death the whole country was in shock as they lost one of the finest exponent of the sport.

He was in the hospital for 4 days before finally bidding adieu to the world on 16-10-2019. He was up against Olympian Charles Conwell and after having lost the bout, he also lost his life at such a young age.
