Santhanam began his career as a comedian on the television series. His hidden talents were showcased in the Vijay TV’s Lollu Sabha. He eventually acted in many movies such as Manmadhan, Sachien, and Polladhavan. Mr. Santhanam’s lead roles as a comedian in Siva Manasula Sakthi, Oru Kal Oru Kannadi etc. have made him win the Vijay Award for Best Comedian individually.
