Sheikh Hasina was born on 28-09-1947 in Tungipara, Gopalganj, Dhaka, Bangladesh. She is a Bangladeshi politician who served as the 10th Prime Minister of Bangladesh from 1996 to 2001, and 2009 to 2024.

She served the Prime Minister of Bangladesh from 2009 to 2024. Sheikh was exposed to political commotion and brutality at her home country from her childhood itself. Her father played an important role when Bangladesh was separated from Pakistan in 1971. While studying in college, Sheikh involved in her father’s political liaison at the time of his imprisonment. Sheikh Hasina’s father, mother and her brothers were killed by the military officers in the year of 1975. She was left alone for the followed six years.
She returned to Bangladesh as a strong advocate in 1981. “Awami League Party” elected her to lead the party. She was in prison or under house arrest most of the years due to her detested opinions. She became the second female Prime Minister of Bangladesh in 1996. The country was with often violence and chaos during her ruling period. The Government declared a state of emergency and canceled the parliamentary elections in the year of 2007. By the same time, she was charged with murder and extortion. She was in the prison for the whole year due to some medical issues. Sheikh was elected as the Prime Minister again in 2009. She served as the PM in the country till 2014. Again she became the Prime Minister in 2014. Sheikh remains as a dedicated person and works for the betterment of her country day in and day out.
The anti-goverment protersted demanding the resignation of Hasina in 2022. Later, students protested in July 2024 demanding the reform of quotas in government jobs, and in action of Sheikh Hasina's government, resulted in the massacre of students. According to the sources, around 1500 students were dead in massacre. Finally, she resigning in August 2024 and fleeing to India.
After this, the total number of 735 cases registered against her. The Bangladesh International Crimes Tribunal opened an investigation on charges of genocide and crimes against humanity against her. Finally, she was convicted of crimes against humanity, sentenced to death on 17-11-2025.

She was born to a politician/revolutionary father Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and homemaker mother Begum Fazilatunnesa. She has three brothers named Sheikh Kamal, Sheikh Russel, Sheikh Jamal and a sister named Sheikh Rehana. She married a Bangladeshi physicist & writer M. A. Wazed Miah on 17-11-1967. Together they have a daughter named Saima Wazed (psychologist), and a son named Sajeeb Wazed (politician). Her father became the 1st President of Bangladesh on 17-04-1971. Her father was assassinated by coup on 15-08-1975. Her husband died on 09-05-2009.
