Shoojit Sircar is an Indian film director, writer, and producer. He belongs from Barrackpore, Kolkata, West Bengal, India. He did his schooling in Kendriya Vidyalaya Barrackpore Airforce school. He completed his graduation from Shaheed Bhagat Singh College, The University of Delhi. In 2005, He started his career as director with the movie Yahaan.
He directed many more movies like Shoebite etc. In 2012, he directed a big blockbuster movie Vicky Donor and Aparajita Tumi. Then in 2013, Madras Cafe was a big hit movie directed and produced by him. In 2015, Piku was directed. Despite that, he directed an open tee bioscope Bengali movie. He also directed movies like Pink, Running Shaadi, Stand by Tough mom, and October.
The man has won the National Award for the movie Vicky Donor in the category of “Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment”. Now he bit busy making a documentary on Amitabh Bachchan. He is also known for being associated with Rising Sun Films. He has made television commercials like Saffola, Reliance 2G, Apsara Pencils, Fair & Lovely, Maruti WagonR, Cadbury, Dove, and various other brands.
