Born and brought up in New York City, Stacy has come a long way as a stylist and fashion consultant for her field. Her extreme qualifications to make it a big name in the industry has surely gone a long way. Just after graduating from the college, she marked her career beginning as a fashion editor at Vogue. Her interest in fashion began just after her summer internship when she actually took this step to mark her initiation in the fashion industry.
She has done her double major in 20th Century Philosophy from Vasser College and also pursued German Literature along with it. During her summer internship she actually joined Christian Dior's PR team in Paris and since then she has just been growing in the fashion world.
Her father is the President Emeritus of the Hudson Institute and her mother was a venture capitalist herself. She was suffering from psoriasis in her childhood days and have felt that she also spoke on the topic at the National Psoriasis Foundation. She had a peculiar feature since she was 11, which was a greay streak of hair in the front of her head. Though she joined as an editor in Vogue, she grew in her career by working in Mademoiselle as a Senior Fashion Editor.
A famous host of the TV show "What Not To Wear" on TLC has garnered her all the popularity till date. After her popularity in the same field, she also became a popular face on NBC's TODAY SHOW. Her skills enhanced and she was called upon for being a speaker on Pantene, Woolite and Rider by Lee. "Style for Hire" was an agency co-founded by her for fulfilling the purpose of bringing people from all income groups together and making the style statements ready for them. She has also styled up celebrities such as Kate Winslet and Liv Tyler.
