Tigmanshu Dhulia Complete Bio & Career

Tigmanshu Dhulia is one the most successful actor, screenwriter, casting director, and director of Bollywood. Tigmanshu hails from the city of Allahabad in Uttar Pradesh. He completed his education at the St. Joseph’s College and then for intermediate studies he joined Anglo Bengali Intermediate College. He obtained his graduate degree in from the Allahabad University. Soon after the completion of his graduation, he relocated to Delhi and enrolled at the National School of Drama and acquired his master’s degree in Theater from there.
 
After completion of his course at the National School of Drama, he relocated to Mumbai and begin his professional career with the movie Bandit Queen as a casting director. After which he served as a casting director for movies such as The Warrior, Stiff Upper Lips, and Bombay Blues among others. Meanwhile, he was also working as an assistant director to Ketan Mehta and Pradip Kishen. After which, he turned independent director and directed some television serials. In addition to directing, he also wrote few Doordarshan serial in the decade of the 1990s.
 
He finally started directing Bollywood movies and made his directorial debut with the film Haasil in 2003. The film was well received and he was highly praised for his direction and was also nominated at various Award nights. After which, he directed various acclaimed films such as Shagird, Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster, Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster Returns, Paan Singh Tomar and Charas among others.
 
He made his acting debut with a petty role in the film Electric Moon in 1992. After which he acted on silver screen after20 years in his film Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster. His acting skills were praised by critics in Anurag Kashyap’s much-acclaimed film Gangs of Wasseypur and its sequel. In addition to acting, writing and directing, he also tried his hands at production and made his debut as a producer with the film titled Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster Returns and after which he produced one more film, Bullet Raja.
