Urvashi Dholakia began her modeling career at the tender age of 6 by appearing in the commercial of Lux soap alongisde actress Revathi. She then starred in the famous television series Dekh Bhai Dekh in the year 1993. She made her acting debut through the famous series Waqt Ki Raftaar in the year 1997. After that, she starred in numerous television series such as Shaktimaan, Ghar Ek Mandir, and Kabhii Sautan Kabhii Sahelii among others.
She rose to prominence after playing the role of Komolika in the long running television series Kasautii Zindagii Kay from 2001 to 2008. Her performance in that series made her a household name in India. She participated in the Bigg Boss season 6 in 2012 and was also declared winner of that season. Since then, she has been seen in episodic role or as clebrity guests in various other shows. She participated in Nach Baliye 9 in 2019 along with her ex Anuj Sachdeva.
