V. Selvaganesh Complete Bio & Career
V. Selvaganesh is the son of renown musician and even Grammy award winner "Vikku Vinayakram," and his grandfather " T. R. Harihara Sarma," who was the founder of the Sri JGTV School (Chennai). He attained the worldwide fame after joining the famous John McLaughlin's group, and along with the group, he started the musical tours with (Remember Shakti). He eagerly helping his ace musician father to run and manage the activities of the Sri JGTV s with the motive to train the new generation to become proficient in Carnatic.
He composed the various musical albums along with the popular musicians such as Jonas Hellborg as well as Shawn Lane. In 2006 he released his debutant solo international album named "Soukha" starring the Remember Shakti key members such as U. Srinivas, John McLaughlin, Shankar Mahadevan, Niladri Kumar (a sitar player), T.H. "Vikku" Vinayakram(V. Selvaganesh father) and Zakir Hussain. He formed the group "dr JSM' along with the "dr. Joel” (a U.K based Goan producer and songwriter) and also the Mahesh (a young and energetic Carnatic singer).In 2005, this Indo-Celtic duo released their first album named "Turn on the dream." His debutant as a director for the short film Bodhai released in the Tamil language in 2012. He started composing for his first Tamil movie (Vennila Kabadi Kuzhu) in 2008.
He was the music composer of the Tamil language film "Kola Kolaya Mundhirika-2009," and he created a distinct album comprising of a (Bhangra song in Punjabi style) sung by the Bollywood famous singer "Shankar Mahadevan."The ace south singers K. S. Chithra and S. P. Balasubrahmanyam were brought together once again for this composition.
