A. R. Ameen was born to musician father A.R. Rahman and hence decided to become a singer and composer from a very young age. He made his singing debut at the tender age of 6 with the song titled NaNa from the American film Couples Retreat in the year 2009. He made his full fledged singing debut through the song titled "Maula Wa Sallim" from the Tamil film O Kadhal Kanmani in the year 2015. For this song, he won himself multiple awards and came in the reckoning. He has sung songs in various South Indian and Hindi language films which are composed mostly by his father. He also released hsi first single titled 'Sago' (Tamil) in the year 2019. The song became a huge hit.
