Alex Morgan is arguably one of the best and most accomplished American football players who have achieved several feats which include the Olympics Gold Medal in 2012 and the coveted FIFA Women's World Cup in the year 2015. She began her soccer career with ‘Cypress Elite’ and then went on to play for ‘California Golden Bears’ while she was in college. She was drafted at the number 1 position by ‘Western New York Flash’ in 2011 WPS Draft. She didn’t disappoint and was one of the major contributors to the team’s league championship win. 
 
In the course of her illustrious career, she has played for various clubs including ‘West Coast FC’ and ‘Portland Thorns FC’. During the 2011 FIFA Women's World Cup, she achieved the honours of becoming the youngest player of the US women's national football team. She used to plays as a forward. She became the talk of the town after she scored the game-winning goal against the arch-rivals Canada during semi-final of the 2012 London Olympics. The year 2012 belonged to her as she scored as many as 28 goals and also collected 21 assists in that particular year. She became the youngest US soccer player to score 20 or more goals in a single calendar year. In 2012, she was named the US Soccer Female Athlete of the Year. 
 
She played for ‘Orlando Pride’ in 2016 and since 2017 is playing for ‘Olympique Lyonnais’. She has also earned recognition not just on the field but for her off-the-field pursuits as well. She has penned down a four-book series. She also regularly features in magazines, endorsements and TV programs. She has also acted in the film titled Alex & Me in the year 2018 in which she played the fictionalized version of her own.
