Banita Sandhu was born and raised in the UK. She is a British actress. She started her acting career as a child by acting in local stage and film productions. She was just 11 years old when she inked a deal with a talent agency. She appeared in a few commercials in the UK and India while she was studying at King’s College in London. She rose to fame after her Double Mint advertisement. 
 
It was during this time that famous writer Juhi Chaturvedi spotted her and asked Shoojit Sircar to consider for the lead role in his upcoming film October in 2018. She was cast alongside Varun Dhawan in the film and even though the film did an average business at the box-office, she got praised for her performance in the film. After the film schedule got over, she went back and completed her graduation. Upon graduating, she resumed work by playing the role of Meera in the remake of Telugu blockbuster film Arjun Reddy in Tamil titled Adithya Varma. She was cast alongside debutant Dhruv Vikram in this film. She has also been roped in to play Vicky Kaushal’s love interest in the upcoming film Uddham Singh which is scheduled to release in 2020. In addition to films, she has also appeared in the American science fiction series Pandora in the year 2019.
