Bidisha Bezbaruah was raised in Guwahati. She last appeared in Ranbir Katrina starrer film Jagga Jasoos. She completed her schooling from the Nicholas School in Guwahati. She then obtained her graduate degree in English literature from the Cotton College in Guwahati. She was highly inspired by Arnab Goswami who too hailed from Guwahati and was a journalist and she too, therefore, did post graduation in Mass Communication.
However, her friends persuaded her to follow her dream of becoming an actress and singer. She was a brilliant singer and became very popular in Guwahati as a singer during her college days. She also became famous as an actress after performing in a drama titled ‘Xanta Hristo Pusto Mohodusto’.
She gave a few Bihu appearances and various live drama appearances and after seeing the audience's reaction, she started thinking away from journalism and decided to put all her energy and focus on becoming an actress and a singer.
She because didn’t have a godfather in the industry and plus she started late as well found it very difficult to get a break in the industry. She during her struggle period met Nishith Jha and fell in love with him.

Bidisha Bezbaruah died on 17-07-2017 in Gurugram, Haryana, India. Bidisha was found hanging with ceiling fan in her flat in Gurugram. The incident came to the public eye after her husband Nisith was calling her but she didn’t answer and he called up the flat broker to see through and on opening the main door they found that she has hanged herself to death. It has been known that there were tensions in their marriage and this is the reason why she committed suicide. The cops have arrested her husband for abetting her suicide.
