Born as William Bradley Pitt, Brad Pitt is an actor and film producer from America.

While he was trying to establish himself as an actor, he took lessons from his coach Roy London. Initially, he appeared in uncredited film roles in No Man’s Land. Less Than Zero, and No Way Out. His first television appearance was in the NBC soap opera Another World. He also had a guest appearance in ABC’s sitcom titled Growing Pains. Brad Pitt also appeared in CBS television series Dallas. His first lead role in the film was in ‘The Dark Side of the Sun’ in 1988, although it went unreleased till 1997. His first film in the lead role to reach the theatres was the 1989 horror film Cutting Class. He was then cast in the 1990 television movie ‘Too Young to Die’ in the role of Billy Canton. He appeared in the several television series like Glory Days, The Image, Head of the Class, and Thirtysomething. He then appeared in the film titled Across the Tracks in 1991. His major breakthrough role came with the 1991 movie ‘Thelma& Louise’. Pitt’s intimate scenes with Geena Davis in the movie defined him as a sex symbol. Further, his performance in the 1992 biographical movie titled ‘A River Runs Through It’ proved to be a career-making performance. His appearance in 1993 movie ‘Kalifornia’ was well-received. He also appeared on ‘True Romance’ in the role of Floyd. He won the Male Star of Tomorrow at ShoWest Awards.

He won the Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actor and also got an Academy Award nomination. He starred in the commercially successful movie ‘The Devil’s Own’ in 1997. His portrayal of Tyler Durden in the cult hit Fight Club in 1999 was widely praised. He appeared in several other movies like Snatch, Meet Joe Black, The Mexican, Spy Game and Seven Years in Tibet. He also appeared on the television series ‘Friends’, for which he received an Emmy Nomination for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series’. He also appeared in the movie Ocean’s Eleven in 2001, the role he reprised in Ocean’s Twelve and Ocean’s Thirteen. He rendered voice in the animated movie ‘Sindbad: Legend of the Seven Seas’. He found a production company called ‘Plan B’ which produced its first movie ‘Troy’. He starred in the rom-com Mr & Mrs Smith in 2005. His other notable film roles include Inglorious Bastards, Moneyball, Fury, The Big Short, Allied, and others.
