He has done his schooling from Don Bosco School located in Madras, he did his higher studies in Loyola college and then graduated from the University of Michigan soon after. He currently is a resident of Hyderabad, India.

His first movie with which he stepped into the Telugu film industry was Devatha that released in the year 1982. There was no looking back for Suresh after this film, even though he had produced Devatha he didn’t label the movie with his name. Bobbili Raja, the movie starring Venkatesh and Tabu that came out in 1991 was when he officially started calling himself as a producer.

Since then Dagubbati Suresh has produced about 19 movies, out of which movies like Ganesh (1998), KalisundamRaa (2000), NeekuNenuNaakuNuvvu(2003) and Malliswari (2004) have received many awards.

Daggubati Suresh Babu has also presented various Telugu movies like AshtaChamma, NamoVenkatesha, Eaga, Hora Hori, ThanuNenu, Pittagoda etc.

Apart from being a behind the scene star he has also been seen as an actor in the Hindi movie Azhar, as the character Tony Dsouza in the year 2016, starring Imran Hashmi.
