Derrick Henry is a footballer plays in the National Football League for the team the Tennessee Titans. He started his football pursuit when he was attending Yulee High School which is situated in the state of Florida. He also was on the basketball and track teams. At the school, he served as the running back for the school's team, the Yulee Hornets. In the year 2001, ESPN.com had listed this star player as the number one athlete in the entire nation. He was recruited by the University of Alabama.

 

When he was in his third year of college, he was the running back. This happened when Yeldon who was the starting running back left to play in the National Football League. That year, Henry played in all the games which in total was 15 games. He was awarded the Heisman Trophy and beat the fellow contenders who were Christian McCaffrey and Deshaun Watson. He was one of the players in the 2016 College Playoff when Alabama defeated Clemson.

 

After Henry finished his college career at Alabama, he was drafted by the Tenessee team called the Tennessee Titans. His assets were considered his big build, his violent running, long strides, and being consistent. The Tennessee Titans gave him a four-year contract for $5.40 million. His first games involved being a backup running back to the player DeMarco Murray. His debut in the professional season was in a game against the Minnesota Vikings.
