Diana Williams is a lady who was part of the European Parliament. She was a Liberal Democrat member. She graduated from the North London Polytechnic and got a Bachelor of Arts degree. After her bachelor’s degree, she went on to obtain a masters degree in arts. After this, she served as a solicitor and a counselor. Then she became part of the European Parliament. She was elected to be the leader of the Liberal Democrats in the year 2000 and served for four years. Then, in the year 2006, she was reelected.
 
When she was part of the Liberal Democrat party, she was also part of the Petitions Committee. In the year following her second re-election, she served as the Chairwoman in the relations delegations with the countries Switzerland, Iceland, and Norway. She also helped with the European Economic Area. Her husband, Stewart Arnold, became a Parliamentary Assistant. There were two declarations which she passed which were on the European emergency number and the Emergency cooperation for recovering children that are missing.
 
She resigned in the year 2012 which happened in the month of January. Her husband was supposed to succeed her, but he declined the offer after there were complaints that favor was in his hands since his wife was before him. The next appointment after Diana Wallis was Rebecca Taylor. She was the choice after Stewart Arnold. Taylor was assigned to replace Wallis in the year 2012. She followed Wallis who had been the appointee for about thirteen years. In the 2014 election, Taylor did not make the cut. She was not a candidate for the seat that year.
