During her studies, she got a chance to perform in the movie Capturing Mary which was directed by Stephen Poliakoff. In the year 2007, she brilliantly performed in her debut movie “St. Trinian” in the role of Hedda Girl Kelly. Later, she made her performance in James Bond movie – Quantum of Solace in the year 2008. Most evidently, she got selected in the auditions for the role of Bond Girl Strawberry Fields out of 1500 candidates. Later, she played the role of protagonist in Thomas Hardy’s Tess owned by the BBC in the year 2008. Consecutively, she performed in a TV serial “Lost in Austen” telecasted on ITV in the role of Elizabeth Bennet. Her other movies include Capturing Mary, Three and Out, The boat that rocked, Tamara Drewe, A Turtle's Tale: Sammy’s Adventures, Song of Marion, Runner Runner, and much more.   
 
Moreover, she agreed to perform in the controversial role in the movie – The Disappearance of Alice Creed. Later, she bagged the Empire’s Best Newcomer Award in 2009. Additionally, she earned the other awards for her brilliant performance such as Best Supporting Actress and paved a perfect way to help her study in Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. However, she met the great assistant director during the movie “The voices” shooting and later both of them worked together in the movie Gemma Bovery.
