George Will Complete Bio & Career

George Frederick Will is a political commentator from America, mainly associated with conservatism. He attended Magdalen College in Oxford and further continued his studies at Princeton University and graduated with MA and PhD degrees. Early in his career, he served under Senator Gordon Allott and later taught at one of the colleges in Michigan State University and University of Toronto. He also taught at Harvard University in the year 1995 and 1998. As a part of his journalism career, he worked as an editor for American semi-monthly magazine ‘National Review’. He became the part of Washington Post Writers Group in 1974. His column is said to have syndicated to over 450 newspapers. 
 
He started writing biweekly back page editorial column for Newsweek from 1976 to 2011. Will has authored three books on the topic of political philosophy, two best-selling books on Baseball. He has also published eleven compilations of his editorial columns for Newsweek and The Washington Post. He served as a contributor for Fox News from 2013 to 2017. He was also a news analyst for ABC News during the early 80s. He is also a founding member among the panel of ABC News’ ‘This week with David Brinkley’. He became a political contributor on MSNBC and NBC News in May 2017 and provides political input for the well-known shows like Today, The 11th Hour and Morning Joe. During his career, he has been involved in several controversies including those of Ronald Regan Presidential campaign in 1980, Rape victimization comments in 2014, and Ebola spread claim in 2014. 
 
He was called ‘The most powerful journalist in America’ by The Wall Street Journal in 1986. For his commentary, he won the Pulitzer Prize in 1977. He was awarded the Madison Medal Award by Princeton University in 1992. He had won multiple Silurian Awards for editorial writing.
