Hend Sabry Complete Bio & Career

Hend Sabry’s first acting appearance was in Moufida Tlatli’s ‘Samt al Qosoor’ at the age of 14. This movie went on to feature on the list of ‘100 Most Important Arab Films’ list at the Dubai International Film Festival. After gaining recognition for her role in the movie, she went on to appear in several other Tunisian movies. Later in 2002, she was cast in an Egyptian production titled, ‘Muzakirat Murahiqua’. She rose to prominence with her performance in the film and turned out to be one of the important actresses in the Arab World and Egypt. 
She went on to appear in several other Egyptian films including Mowaten we Mokhber we Haramy, Ibrahim EL Abyad, and Banat West El Balad. Her recent performance in the movie ‘Halawat Al Dounia’ in the role of a woman suffering from cancer was widely applauded. 
 
Hend Sabry also established own production house named ‘Salam PROD’, which produced ‘Zahret Halab’. She has been the recipient of over 25 awards, including 5 for her outstanding performance as an HIV positive woman in the movie Asmaa. She was awarded the Faten Hamama Award at the Cairo International Film Festival. She has also held several honorary positions at prestigious film festivals. She has also been the brand ambassador for IWC Schaffhausen in the Arab World. She also became the face of popular brand Garnier in the Arab World. 
 
She has always taken part in humanitarian works. She is in close association with UN World Food Program to raise awareness about hunger. She became a WFP Regional Ambassador against hunger in 2010. Her inspirational speech at TEDx Cairo in 2015 was acclaimed. She has immense contribution the campaign called ‘The Uprising of Women in the Arab World’.
