Mark Jake Johnson, is a famous actor and a comedian who has been greatly appreciated for his work and made a mark by his special performances. He had a difficult childhood and was named after his uncle Mark Johnson who unfortunately died just a year after his birth. He lived in Illinois, Chicago and his father Eve Johnson was an artist who made stained glass windows. Jake's father was Jewish while his mother had ancestors who were English, Irish, and Polish Catholic. He saw the divorce of his parents at a tender age of 2 and his siblings - Dan and Rachel were taken care of by his single mother. Though a tough childhood, in his 20's he made peace with his father.

 

In earlier days after moving to Los Angeles, he did the job of a waiter and a production assistant to make his living. He had acted in movies like Paper Heart in the year 2009, Safety Not Guaranteed in 2012 and had small appearances in the movies like Jump Street and Jurassic World. He was a great fan of the Second City improv troupe. He did his schooling from New Tier High School in Winnetka and later education from the University of Iowa. During his term in Iowa, he wrote a play because of which he got into Tisch School of Arts in the Dramatic Writing Department.

 

From the year 2010, he started getting roles in various movies including a small role in the Russell Brand comedy, Get him to the Greek. He also played the role of a mate of Ashton Kutcher’s character in No Strings Attached. In 2011, he starred in ZooeyDeschanel on New Girl. He also starred in a series of Dodge Dart with Craig.
