Joan Smalls is a fashion model from Puerto Rico. She is an Alma Mater of the InterAmerican University of Puerto Rico. 
 
She started off her modelling career by working with Givenchy, which brought her prominence. She later modelled for several top fashion labels and designers including Prada, Versace, Fendi, Dior among others. She is one of Victoria’s Secret models and has constantly appeared in Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show since 2010. She has featured on covers of several international magazines like Vogue, Elle, W, Dazed & Confused, Lucky, Lui and much more. She appeared on the cover of Vanity Fair alongside Karlie Kloss, which earned them the title ‘The New Supers’. She has also posed for Pirelli Calendar in 2012 and 2014. Smalls has also been featured on editorials of several international editions of Harpers Bazaar, GQ, Vogue and others. She is also known to be the first Puerto Rican model to be chosen to be the face of advertisement campaigns by fashion houses like Michael Kors, Calvin Klein Jeans, Roberto Cavalli, Mercedes-Benz among others. She is also the first Latina to be signed for the International Campaign for the well-known cosmetic brand ‘Estee Lauder’. 
 
She co-presented the MTV television fashion series show ‘House of Style’. She has appeared in music videos of several popular artists like Rick Martin, ASAP Rocky and Beyonce.Small is considered as one of the Highest Paid Models in the world with an estimated net worth of about $15 million. She was named as ‘Model of the Year’ in 2012. She was ranked at the top position on the list of ‘Top 50 Women Models’ by Models.com. As a part of philanthropic work, she is associated with an organisation called ‘Project Sunshine’, which aims at providing essential medical assistance to children.
