Joanna Krupa Complete Bio & Career

Joanna Krupa was a born dancer and since an early age started learning dancing. She soon developed an interest in acting and started with some stage plays while she was studying at the University of Maryland. Her first professional stage performance was in Ashes in 1976. She kept on giving some impressive performances and then almost three years later, she won the coveted Theatre World and Obie awards for her splendid acting in The Art of Dining. She made her film debut with the film It's My Turn, in 1980. After her debut film, she again returned to Broadway for Frankenstein in 1982.
 
Krupa is renowned among mainstream audiences for her various maternal roles in films such as Parenthood, The Lost Boys, and The Birdcage. The biggest moment She has also turned in memorable performances in five Woody Allen pictures, winning Best Supporting Actress Academy Awards for both Hannah and Her Sisters and Bullets Over Broadway. In 2009, she won an Emmy for Best Supporting Actress in a Drama for her role in the HBO series In Treatment.
 
Krupa showed off her comedic skills in the sitcom Life in Pieces in 2015. Wiest resides in New York City with her two adopted daughters, Lily and Emily.
