JoJo was born and raised in Omaha. She was first seen on the second season of Abby's Ultimate Dance Competition and was among the top 5 finalists. In 2015, she along with her mother participated in the show Dance Moms. She got popular through these shows and became a regiular feature on American television. She then made guest appearance in shows like Make It Pop, and Bizaardvark, and The Thundermans among others. It was during this time that, she started on social media and in few years time, she has become a child prodigy on social media with millions of followers on her each social media accounts. She recently did episodic roles in shows like The Substitute, and The Masked Singer. 
 
She has also released a single on didgital platform titled "I Can Make U Dance". She made a boomerang of that song which addresses online bullying which many stars have gone through. The video today has garnered nearly 900 million views on YouTube. For her performances, she was awarded the Breakout Artist of the Year by Vivid Seats. She has released various EP's and singles which have become a massive hits. Some of her hit singles include such as "Hold the Drama", "High Top Shoes", and "Bop!" among others.
