In 1994, he gets an opportunity to work with Emilio Estevez at the age of 16 years for the film D2: The Mighty Ducks. In the same year, he became a famous personality for the kids on the nickelodeon’s popular show ‘All That’. Later in the year 1996 Tompson and Mitchell turned to the first African-American actors to feature a prime time appear on Nickelodeon. 
 
Kenan and Kel took after the comic misfortune of the continually conspiring Kenan Rockmore and his stupid best friend Kel Kimble. The show turned into a hit for Nickelodeon and established together popularity. His deadly shot was unforgettable in Snakes on a plane released in 2006.
 
In the year 2003, Kenan figured a role on Saturday Night Live and featured for more than 8 seasons. Famous for his role impression of Bill Cosby and Whoopi Goldberg, he has clowned that he was initially brought on to replace Tracy Morgan. Spending some time between Los Angeles and New York, Kenan decided to start his own production company one day. Later in 2012 Thompson created a television comedy with Lorne Michaels a Tv producer.In which Kenan played a role as a young fellow who surrenders life in the Big Apple and moves to suburbia to live with his in-laws.
 
He was very much supported by his mother, because of her only Kenan made his career in acting. In his childhood, his mother always encouraged him to take acting classes.
