Ludivine Sagnier started taking acting classes at very young age and later made her film debut as a child actress in ‘I Want to Go Home’. She is known to have appeared nude in several films including Bon Plan, Water Drops on Burning Rocks and La Petite Lili. In the movie ‘Swimming Pool’, directed by Francois Ozon, she appears topless in most of her scenes in the film. However, she had stated that sexual acting is pretty distressful. She also featured in the movie ‘Pieds nus sur les limaces’, which was exhibited at the City of Angels and City of Light Festival in Los Angeles. Also, other movies that she starred like ‘Love Crime’ and ‘The Devil’s Double’ were presented at the Los Angeles Film Festival in 2011. Her other prominent film roles are in ‘A Secret’, ‘Peter Pan’, ‘8 Women’, and ‘Acide anime’.
 
In her film and television career, she has won several awards and nominations. She bagged the ‘short Acteurs a I’Ecran Award’ for Best Actress for ‘Acide anime’. She has also been nominated for Cesar Award for Most Promising Actress twice. She was also nominated for the ‘Boston Society of Film Critics Award’ for Best Supporting Actress in 2003. She earned a nomination for her role in Swimming Pool at the ‘Washington DC Area Film Critics Association Award’ for Best Supporting Actress. She also received a nomination at the ‘Globes Crystal Award for Best Actress’.
