MacKenzie Scott, for many people, this name came into the picture when Jeff Bezos the CEO of Amazon and his wife MacKenzie decided to divorce each other. But there are very few who know her as an award-winning novelist, journalist and a professional career woman working in the corporate field. MacKenzie S Tuttle was born in San Francisco, California in 1970. From her childhood, MacKenzie was quite passionate about writing stories and literature. Merely at the age of 6, she came up with a manuscript of around 142 pages named ‘The Book Worm’. She was encouraged by her parents towards journalism which boosted her writing skills. While pursuing her Bachelor’s degree at Princeton University, she had the honors to learn English from a popular novelist, Toni Morrison in 1992. As a best and brightest student, she learned the skills of a creative and professional writer too. 
 
MacKenzie Scott started her career at an early age. She started up by working as a research assistant for Tony Morrison which proved to be a great learning experience for her during her college time. As a novelist, she wrote her first book in the year 2005 with the title, ‘The Testing of Luther Albright’ which took a period of 10 years for completing. Along with writing the novel, she also supported her husband for setting up Amazon.com as well as looked after her 4 kids. This novel proved to be an instant success as she received amazing reviews. 
 
Her second novel was a Hollywood thriller in 2013, named ‘Traps’. Through the novels, MacKenzie successfully maintained her writing skills of interweaving various characters in the story, and this is among the key skills she carries. 
 
In 2013, her review for the book, ‘The Everything Store: Jeff Bezos and the Age of Amazon’, written by Brad Stone was much in debate. Through her one-star review, she brought up the misrepresentations and inaccuracies the book carried. 
 
Apart from a struggling career, MacKenzie is also an activist. She established a Bystander Revolution in 2014 which is an anti-bullying organization working as an executive director. She has also been donating for medical researches regarding neurological and cancer disorders. She is surely an inspiration for women out there for perfectly balancing her professional life as a writer and accountant along with her personal life dealing with all the ups and downs in life. 
 
In 2014, she founded the Bystander-Revolution, which represents an anti-intimidating organization where she holding the position of an executive director. In a joint statement on January 9, 2019, she and Jeff Bezos published via Twitter that the pair would be divorced.
