Manisha Koirala Complete Bio & Career

Manisha 's initial studies are from Kanya College, Varanasi. After that, she moved to New Delhi to study secularly at the Dalkuya Army School. Manisha desired since childhood to become a doctor to serve others, but perhaps modelling finally opened her doors to make her entry in the glamorous world. The film career of Manisha began with Subhash Ghai directed film Saudagar in 1991. The two legendary artists Raj Kumar, as well as Dilip Kumar, seemed together on the big screen at the time. The film proved to be the significant hit of the year. The first movie made her an Indian cinema superstar overnight and through her debutant film she rose to fame and gained the popularity.
 
Another Manisha film, Agni Sakshi released in 1996, was a tremendous box office success. The same Year Manisha was begun working in Sanjay Leela Bhansali 's film Khamoshi. In 1997 Manisha appeared in the film Guptas–The Hidden Truth by Bobby Deol and Kajol. The film was a blockbuster at the box office. It was the first time this year that she appeared on the big screen opposite Shah Rukh Khan in the  Mani Ratnam's film Dil Se. This film responded very well to the critics and was also nominated as the best actress in the film. 
 
She appeared in a multi-star movie Lajja in 2000. Her performance was very challenging in this movie. She then later appeared in 2002 in Ajay Devgn Starrer Film Company. She also received the third Filmfare Critics Award for this film. She underwent chemotherapy and spent several months in New York City Hospital. She cured of cancer as of 2 May 2017 after four years. Later curing cancer and fighting to survive, she is actively engaged in increasing awareness about the disease.
