The international poet, Meena is highly qualified and holds a Ph.D. degree in English. As a whole, her authorship includes poetry, essays, literary memoirs, literary criticism, and works of fiction. Her book named as Birthplace with Buried Stones consisted of the poems which are based on the experience of a traveler who possesses no home. Recently, she wrote the collection of poems named as Atmospheric Embroidery in the year 2015. These poems are completely based on the themes such as migration, dislocation, love, war, conflict, and divinity. One of the poems which are included in this book titled as Bright Passage was featured in the Smithsonian 2014 exhibition.
Meena’s novel named as Nampally Road was completely based on the concept of contemporary India. Additionally, it speaks about the woman’s struggle. As the central focal theme, the character Rameeza Be will be gang-raped by the police. As a matter of fact, this novel was again issued by Orient Blackswan which got the huge response during the occurrence of tragic events in Delhi. However, it was published for the first time in the year 1991 which was the editor choice of Voice Literary Supplement. Some of her popular poetry works include House of a Thousand Doors, Illiterate Heart, Quickly changing river, and much more. Most importantly, Fault lines are supposed to be her autobiography and appreciated by a large number of readers.
