Ness Wadia completed his school level education from Lawrence School in India and then went on to study at the Millfield School in London. He obtained his graduation degree from the Tuffs University in Massachusetts. He obtained his post graduation degree in Engineering Management from the University of Warwick.
 
He started his professional career as a trainee at the Bombay Dyeing Limited. As a management trainee, his job was to look after the retail distribution and the Marketing of the textile unit of the company. After completion of his studies, he finally joined his family business by becoming the Deputy ManagingDirector of Bombay Dyeing Limited. Soon with his work, he was promoted as the Joint MD of the company. He served that for position for almost a decade after which, this post belonged to his brother alone.
 
From 2011, he is posted as the director on the board of his group companies such as Wadia BSN Ltd, Britannia Industries Ltd and NowrosjeeWadia and Sons Ltd. Other than his companies, he serves as the director of companies such as Tata Chemicals and Gherzi Eastern Ltd among others.
 
Besides this, he is also the co-owner of the IPL team Kings XI Punjab since 2008. He is often clicked on Page 3 parties and is seen socializing from personalities from various sectors. He was sentenced to 2 years of jail by a Japan court for possesing drugs while on a holiday in Japan. After a brief detention, he was released and he returned back to India.
