Oskar Schlemmer did complete his studies from "Akademie der Bildenden Künste" and "Kunstgewerbeschule" following the guardianship of "Friedrich von Keller" and "Christian Landenberger" in Stuttgart. He shifted to Berlin in 1910 to exhibit his creativity through the painting as the follower of "Adolf Hölzel's master," and in 1912 he returned to Stuttgart. In the year 1914 during the time of "World War I, " his name was suggested to combat on the (Western Front). He was wounded badly and later he migrated to his position in Colmar along with the"military cartography unit".And he lived there up to 1918 before he was returning to start working under the guidance of " Hölzel."
In Berlin, in the year 1919, he exhibits his beautiful artwork through his "sculpture" work and for showcasing that he organized one exhibition at the "Gallery Der Sturm." In 1920 he got married to "Helena Tutein," and after the marriage, he was so fortunate and his fate started giving him the support he got an offer from " Walter Gropius" to handle the sculpture and mural-painting departments in "Bauhaus School." In 1922 the year he got the name and globally recognization through the premiere of 'Triadisches Ballett' in "Stuttgart. Schlemmer's engagement for Bauhaus and his absorption for the theatre are the significant portion in his work, in which creative solution to deal with the problems of the (figure in space).
His work became fascinated with the possibilities around the Figures & its relationship to the space work like "Egocentric Space Lines-1924" is one of the projects showing his work culture. In 1929 he left the " Bauhaus' and got an opportunity to work in "Akademie in Breslau," and from where his journey as a painter begun and during the period he painted the renowned one like "Bauhaus Stairway," "Bauhaustreppe" etc. And after he left the “Akademie in Breslau” because of the financial loss of the company. He then relocated to " Eichberg " to "Sehringen" where his pictures gonna displayed in the exhibition at "Degenerate art" at the "National Socialist exhibition." But his creative art was extensively showcasing in Germany and outside the country. His work was a dismissal of pure thought, instead of preserving a reflection of the human, though not in the sensitive sense but a representation of the physical formation of the person.
He died on 13-04-1943 in Baden-Baden, Baden Wurttemberg, Germany at the age of 54.
