She was an American Businessperson, Sports Announcer, Racing Announcer, Football Announcer, Sports Commentator, Figure Skating Commentator, Tennis Commentator, Film Actress & Former Model. She was the 1st Lady of Kentucky (1979-1983). She crowned Miss Texas in 1970, Miss America in 1971.

Phyllis George was a noted businesswoman from America and was also a famous television personality. She rose to ranks after she won the coveted title of Miss America in the year 1971 at the age of 21. Post being crowned as Miss America in 1971, she started getting modeling and acting offers. She finally made her debut on television as a co-host of ‘Candid Camera’. She then moved to CBS as a sportscaster and successfully co-hosted ‘The NFL Today’ for various years. 
 
After getting into her 30s, she bid adieu to television career and relocated to Kentucky with her second husband named John Y. Brown Jr. Her husband served as the 55th governor of Kentucky. During this time, she served as the First Lady of Kentucky. She during her term established museum and also did many welfare works. She also co-wrote her first book titled 'The I (Love) America Diet’. After her husband term ended, she returned to the small screen and started hosting shows again. She also did petty roles in a number of films. In 1998, she divorced with her husband and established ‘Phyllis George Beauty’, a line of cosmetics and skincare products in 2004. Her brands got well established and she became a successful entrepreneur.
