Raaj Kumar was born on 08-10-1926 in Loralai in the state of Baluchistan, Pakistan. He was an Indian Film Actor and Police Officer who best known for his work in Bollywood Industry.

Raaj Kumar after completing graduation began working as a sub-inspector in the Mahim police station Mumbai. During the patrol one night, a soldier told him that you look like a hero. If you become a hero in the films, then you can rule the minds of millions and this is what Rajkumar heard from the soldier. Rajkumar was working in the Mahim police station where people associated with the film industry used to visit frequently.
Once a while when the film producer Baldev Dubey had visited the police station for some urgent work. He was very impressed by the way he was talking and offered him to act as an actor in his film 'Shahi Bazar'. He had already made up his mind to become an actor. So he quickly resigned from his job and accepted the offer of the producer. The Shahi Bazar took a lot of time to become and it grew difficult for Rajkumar to live his life. Therefore, he accepted a small role in the film 'Rangili', which was released in the year 1952. Meantime, his film 'Shahi Bazar' was also released. Which fell off the box office? After the flop of shahi bazaar, all his families began stating that your face is not fitting for the film. Moreover, some people started saying that you should become a villain.
From 1952 to 1957, he struggled to make his place in the film industry. Rajkumar went to accept whatever role he got after ' ' Rangili. Meanwhile, he acted in many films like 'Anmol' Sahara, 'Ghumand', 'Krishna Sudama' and ‘Nilmani’ but none of these films were successful at the box office. In the year 1957, Mother India released and he played a small role of a farmer. Although the film was entirely centred on actress Nargis, Raj Kumar managed to make an impression of his acting in her small role. He also won international fame for his strong acting in this film and after the success of the film, Raj Kumar became an actor in the film industry. In the year 1959 'Paigam', was released, there was Dilip Kumar, who was the king of the Hindi film world, but Raj Kumar succeeded in robbing the audience's applause through his strong role here too.
Following the huge success of the film Kajal in the year 1965, he became an actor at his own identity and he was successful in attracting the audience's attention to him again. His other distinguished films such as Heer Raanjha, Hamraaz, Maryada, Pakeezah and Lal Patthar. After facing the flops films at the box office in the late 70s and early 80s, he had celebrated successes as a supporting actor in the films such as Marte Dam Tak, Jung Baaz, Ek Nai Paheli Muqaddar Ka Faisla, and Kudrat. In 1991, he rejoined with fellow Dilip Kumar after the period of 32 years in Subhash Ghai's film Saudagar. His last ever hit film was Tirangaa in 1992 and God & Gun was his career last film in 1995 just before his death.
Raaj Kumar died on 03-07-1996 at age of 69 in Mumbai in the state of Maharashtra, India. He was suffering from throat cancer.
