Selma Blair, a mesmerizing, versatile American actress gained her popularity from her performances in movies like Cruel Intensions, Hellboy. She was born to Molly Ann, a judge and Elliot I. Beitner, a lawyer. She did her graduation from a high school in Michigan and spent her freshman year at Kalamazoo College where she got a chance to play a role in the play The Little Theatre of the Green Goose and studied Photography there.
 
Later she moved to New York to pursue her goal of becoming a photographer, but end up joining acting classes at The Stella AdlerConservatory and Column Theatre. During her school days, she used to dislike her initial name and went from being called as just Blair. She is famous worldwide because of her movies like Legally Blonde, The Sweetest Thing, The Columbus Circle and much more. She has also played a role of Reese Witherspoon's rival in the comedy Legally Blonde that was released in 2001.
 
She has also received a Grammy Award nomination for Best Spoken Word Album for children for her description of the 2011 biopic The Diary of Anne Frank. Her recent releases include Mom and Dad, and After. She is still active in the television industry as well. Her latest shows include Lost in Space and Heathers.
