Somy Ali Complete Bio & Career

Somy Ali did her school level education from the Jesus and Mary High School in Karachi. While she was just seven years old, she along with her mother and brother shifted to Florida in the USA. To pursue a career in acting and modeling, she shifted to Mumbai in the early 1990s and has worked in some Bollywood films in 1990s. 
 
She made her acting debut with the film Anth in 1993. After which, she starred in some famous films like Aao Pyaar Karen, Andolan, Teesra Kaun, Mafia and Krishan Avtaar among others. She remained in news due to her off-screen affair with the superstar actor Salman Khan. Some left India in the late 1990s. 
 
After shifting back to the US, she completed 4 courses. She obtained a degree in Psychology, film-making, and journalism.  She was drawn towards journalism before making some acclaimed documentaries on the subjects based on 'Abortion', 'Domestic Violence', 'Lives of Muslim Women' and 'Teenage Suicide'.
 
She has engaged herself in educating people about social awareness and to educate people about the world issues. She has founded her own fashion label called "intellectual fashion" and her own clothing line named "S0-Me Designs". Her venture is running successfully and she allocates 10% of its profits to her non-profit organization named, No More Tears.
