Suresh Nanda Complete Bio & Career

Suresh Nanda is an Indian hotelier and the current Chairman of the Claridges Group of Hotels. He was born to a former chief of Indian Navy, Adm. S.M. Nanda, Suresh Nanda also dedicatedly served the nation and held a notable rank as the Lieutenant Commander in the Indian Navy. After serving the Navy for 15 years, he turned towards the corporate sector. After working with Dynatron Services, Crown Corporation, he garnered major attention for his tie-up with Commerce One from the USA. 
 
After leaving the Indian Navy, Suresh Nanda sought to work in the corporate sector and has, over the years, operated in diverse domains such as the hotel industry, software solutions, international trading engagement services and a host of other businesses.   
He gained international acclamation for his tie-up with Commerce One, through which he brought the transparency technology which paved way for electronic procurement to India. The venture ended up winning the international tender which was issued by the Government of Andhra Pradesh. 
 
After a shocking winding-up of the US parent company, Suresh Nanda took it upon himself to develop the software indigenously in India by hiring and guiding the right qualified Indian software experts. The United Nations recognized the project as one of the best digital developments in the developing world.
 
After his successful corporate stints, he decided to enter into the hospitality industry in 2003, associating himself with Claridges Group of Hotels which is rated among the best luxury chains of hotels in India. The noteworthy hotelier has ever since been keen to offer better hospitality services to the customers, and tap onto business opportunities in the international markets of the UK, and the UAE. As an entrepreneur who makes strategic investments brilliantly, Suresh Nanda has received awards owing to his excellent practices in hospitality, and actively promoting a clean and healthy environment.
