Tejas Patel was born on 17-04-1963 in Ahmedabad in the state of Gujarat, India. He is an Indian Writer, Academician, Doctor & Cardiologist.

Tejas completed his MBBS) from Ahmadabad (B. J. Medical College). He was ranked as the No-1, and he won the gold medal for his achievement. He resided at the college of the civil hospital, and despite that, he obtained his master's studies, (MD). From the (U. N. Mehta Institute of Cardiology and Research Centre), during his period of study, where he was on the position of the (chief-resident-cardiologist) for the period of two years.
He started his career in 1991, as an assistant professor of cardiology and in 1997; he was promoted to associate professor. From (1997-2000), he worked as a visiting professor at the GRMI (Gujarat Research and Medical Institute). He then joined the Krishna Heart Institute (Ahmadabad) on the post of director, and later he became the (chief-interventional-cardiologist) in the year 2000. In 2004, he shifted to the Sterling Hospitals worked there for only two years. In 2006, he began his journey with the TCVS, which may rebrand again in 2012 with the name of Apex Heart Institute. At present, he serves as the professor and also the head of the Cardiology department for several institutes such as Sheth Vadilal Sarabhai General Hospital (VS Hospital), Smt. NHL Municipal Medical College) and Sheth K. M. School of Post Graduate Medicine and Research since 2008. He has also served as a visiting faculty at the Richmond Virginia Commonwealth University Medical Centre, USA. Tejas is the first Indian as well as Asian who appointed as the (visiting-professor) in the US Mayo clinic.
In his journey, he has also published so many Medical papers as well as theoretical studies. Despite that, he is the author of two books. Tejas undertook the clinical tests linked to the transradial -interventions, stenting,mitral-balloon-valvuloplasties as the chief investigator. He has also engaged in the development and design of supervising "catheters" to be used in a transradial way. He is the director of Transradial Intervention course TRICO. This annual course is also hosted every year at the Ahmedabad since 2005. He is also the member of JACC Interventions, Journal of American College of Cardiology, editorial boards of Indian Heart Journal and International Journal of Cardiology.
