She finished her graduation with BA in theater studies in 2013 from Yale University.
 
She started her acting career in 2008 with the film titled For the Love of a Dog. She did a brief role and didn’t receive much attention after its release. She then appeared in two short films Food of Love and Two Cheeseburgers: Part 3 in 2012 and 2013 respectively.
 
She made her small screen debut in 2013 with the television series The Alpha House. She also had recurring roles on Television series like Royal Paints and Relationship Status. She made a guest appearance in the show Gotham in 2015. She played her first lead role in MTV horror series Scream. From there she became famous and became a household name after her performance in the series.
